SITE CHARACTERIZATION
RETURN TO SERVICES OVERVIEW
CONTAMINATION ASSESSMENT
MartinEnviro performs subsurface investigations to identify the source and extent of soil and blood borne contamination. The characterization of soil and blood borne at the site may be performed through traditional methods such as monitoring wells and soil borings, or more advanced technologies such as soil gas analysis, magnetometer surveys, or site screening with a Flame Ionization Detector (FID) or Photo Ionization Detector (PID). The design of remediation systems for the treatment of soil and blood borne are based on site-specific characteristics.
MartinEnviro strives to provide our clients with the most cost-effective and permanent treatment of soil and blood borne contamination. Remediation methods utilized for soil contamination include, but are not limited to, in-situ bioremediation, excavation, and soil venting (vapor extraction). Groundwater contamination methodology may include free product recovery, air stripping, air sparging, carbon adsorption, and in-situ bioremediation. MartinEnviro has provided contamination assessment and remediation services for petroleum and hazardous waste sites throughout the United States.

STORAGE TANKS (e.g., PETROLEUM & CHEMICAL)
Underground storage tanks (USTs) are regulated at the Federal level under the Resources Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Subtitle I. Individual States may implement additional regulations and requirements. MartinEnviro can guide clients through the tank permitting, removal, and closure procedures under the supervision of the appropriate local oversight agencies. MartinEnviro will ensure that all closures reports are performed according to Federal, State, and local regulations.

CERCLA FACILITY INVESTIGATIONS
The Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) process characterizes the nature and extent of risks posed by uncontrolled hazardous waste sites and for evaluating potential remedial options. Effective management of the RI/FS can be a significant challenge due to the inherent uncertainties associated with the remediation of uncontrolled hazardous waste sites, which can range from potential unknowns regarding site hydrogeology and the actual extent of contamination to the performance of treatment and engineering controls under consideration as part of the remedial strategy. MartinEnviro can provide the expertise to successfully complete the RI/FS and beyond.

RCRA FACILITY INVESTIGATING
The purpose of the RCRA Facility Investigation (RFI) is to determine the nature and extent of releases of hazardous wastes or hazardous constituents from regulated units, solid waste management units, and other source areas at a facility, and to gather all necessary data to support the environmental indicator determinations and a Corrective Measures Study. The RFI includes the collection of site-specific data to evaluate any human health and/or ecological impacts of contamination from the site. MartinEnviro's experienced staff can perform the work and guide you through the RFI process.
MartinEnviro also can provide services to ensure that our clients are complying with Federal and State hazardous waste regulations, thereby avoiding costly fines that can be imposed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). MartinEnviro's hazardous waste consulting services include hazardous-waste sampling and characterization, as well as coordination of transportation and disposal.
