National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Stormwater Sampling
The National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) is national permitting program designed to control the discharge of industrial and municipal stormwater containing pollutants which are discharged into surface water bodies such as lakes, ponds, streams, and the ocean.
NPDES regulates the standards set forth by the Clean Water Act of 1972 and the Water Quality Act of 1987. Beyond national permitting regulations, many state, county, and municipal regulations are constantly changing and advancing. M&A provides field services to ensure clients are complying with all NPDES permitting regulations, including Stormwater Run-off Sampling.
